Jonathon K. Homa

With 12 years of experience in personal injury and insurance litigation, Jonathon K. Homa has represented injured people across Michigan — first as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney at Sinas Dramis Law Firm in Lansing, one of Michigan’s most respected personal injury and insurance litigation firms, where he managed cases from intake through trial for nine years. He went on to practice civil litigation and trial consulting at Failey Law in Grand Rapids, where he also developed software tools for legal data processing — experience that now informs how efficiently JKH Law, PLC handles every case. In 2025, Jonathon founded JKH Law, PLC to give clients more direct, personal attention than a larger firm allows.

Jonathon was recognized by The National Trial Lawyers as a Top 40 Under 40 Civil Plaintiff Trial Lawyer in Michigan in both 2020 and 2021. He has represented individuals in some of the nation’s most significant cases, including the Larry Nassar/MSU/USAG litigation, the Flint Water Crisis litigation, and the Roundup litigation, and has been recognized for his experience representing vulnerable clients — including children — in institutional sexual assault claims against hospitals, schools, and other institutions.

Jonathon also has extensive experience representing individuals who have been injured in automobile, motorcycle, and pedestrian crashes across Michigan. His practice is deeply informed by a comprehensive understanding of Michigan’s complex No-Fault insurance system, including the significant reforms that reshaped the law in recent years. This knowledge allows Jonathon to navigate the intricate interplay between insurance companies and third-party liability claims against negligent drivers to ensure his clients receive the full benefits and compensation they deserve.

In addition to motor vehicle cases, Jonathon has represented clients in a wide range of personal injury claims, including dog bites, premises liability, construction site injuries, and wrongful death actions. These cases often involve complex questions of negligence, causation, and insurance coverage, and each case is approached with meticulous preparation and strategic advocacy.

Before law school, Jonathon earned a bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in chemistry and a pre-medical focus — a scientific foundation that helps him evaluate medical records, injury causation, and expert testimony in his cases today.

Notable Results:
As part of the legal team representing survivors in the Larry Nassar/Michigan State University litigation, Jonathon helped secure a $500 million settlement — one of the largest sexual-abuse settlements in U.S. history. His individual case results include a $190,000 dog-bite settlement earlier this year, and settlements and verdicts in institutional sexual-abuse cases ranging from $150,000 to seven figures, depending on the facts of each case.
